Understanding its position in the marketplace is key to
any organization, whether it is an emerging-growth company seeking funding opportunities
or a mature business seeking an interim or permanent strategic or financial partner. A
company's brand has great value and should be as carefully managed as any physical
asset.
Carla Zuber, based in our San Francisco office, has over 20 years of experience
specializing in marketing, communications and business development for various companies,
from multi-national firms to start-up organizations. She has spent the last 10 years
assisting professional services firms with new client acquisition, client retention and
practice area development. Ms. Zuber's expertise in professional services firms enables
her to assist clients in developing strategies that increase revenues through
client-focused, cost-effective programs that allow the client to make the most of market
realities.
Ms. Zuber most recently worked with a start-up group that helped venture capital firms
manage their exits in M&A transactions. Before that, she served as Director of
Marketing for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP where she was responsible for building the
firm's profile on the West Coast in order to attract new clients and promote emerging
practice areas.
Prior to working with law firms, Ms. Zuber worked with various accounting and consulting
firms, including Deloitte & Touche where she developed marketing and business
development initiatives to help expand add-on services to existing clients. She also
consulted with marketing communications firms where she developed corporate identity and
media relations.
Ms. Zuber holds a BA degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California. For
many years she has held numerous leadership roles with several Bay Area non-profits,
including the San Francisco Opera Guild and San Francisco Symphony.
